Hand blown glass whale figurine on amethyst is a stunning collectible crystal sculpture and a wonderful gift. Kevin Prochaska, Disneyland glass blower for 10 years is the artist. I make this whale entirely by hand without the use of molds or machines. It is made from borosilicate crystal, trimmed with 24k gold and I personally sign the piece upon its completion. The brilliant rainbow of colors, including violet, pink, purple and blue, is created when I apply pure gold to the glass while it is still molten. I was inspired to create this figurine after seeing herds of magnificent whales running up the California coast not far from my home. Sculpture is approximately 4 inches long and 3.5 inches tall. Kevin always does an amazing job. I've ordered from him several times and it's always as good or better than expected. I had one shipment arrive once with a broken piece (an extremely fragile, long armadillo tail piece, not his fault) and he was able to send a replacement immediately. He is incredibly responsive and honestly the best interaction with a seller on Amazon I've had. This is the second whale I've ordered (first one was killed by a cat) and both have been excellent quality. If I need glass, I'm going to get it from prochaska!
